A family-owned working cattle ranch in the heart of the New Mexico high country... a special place for large family gatherings as well as group retreats for the larger community.
The client was interested in creating a sacred space for family to gather together in the beauty of the high desert that is New Mexico. A place with simple, comfortable accommodations that could also host medium-sized groups for yoga retreats, meditation retreats, creative workshops, etc. The common spaces were organized around a quincho, a South American outdoor kitchen. A landscape wall wraps the project, creating courtyard spaces and cutting through the commons building to define private rooms for the organizers.
